Bio: Born in Syracuse, NY on August 7, 1979, he made his Tigers debut on September 13, 2008. Brett played for the University of Rhode Island's Men's Division I Soccer Team from 1997-2001, where he won the Atlantic 10 Championship in 1999 and 2001, and reached the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in 2001. He is the current Manager/Captain of AV Challenge in the Northern Virginia Soccer League (NVSL,) 2006-present. Brett earned All-State, All-East player in high school at Westhill High School in Syracuse, NY from 1993-1997, and was played in the Western NY Olympic Development Program (ODP) State Team from 1993-1997. Former Member of Syracuse Blitz club soccer team 1989-1997.

Ivaylo Atanasov (Ivo)

Bio: Born in Varna, Bulgaria on September 14, 1982, he made his Tigers debut on December, 2007. Ivo began his playing career with youth generation of PFC Cherno in the Bulgarian 1st division as a forward. He reached the Bulgarian U-17 and U-19 national team with several international official and friendly games including European qualification matches. He signed his first professional contract with a team in the Bulgarian 2nd division in 2002. Ivo joined the Tigers in December 2007 after manager, Peter Witham paid a significant sum to his previous club in Bulgaria.

Bio: Born in Newquay, England on September 23, 1977, he made his Tigers debut on April 8, 2006. Dave began his career playing for Bristol Rovers Youth and Reserve team in the English 2nd Division from 1994-1996, before moving to Melbourne, FL on a scholarship and becoming captain of the Florida Tech Panthers from 1996-1999. He played for Cocoa Expos in the United Soccer Leagues (USL,) Premier Development League (PDL) from 1999-2004, where he was named to the All-Premier Development League (PDL) team in 2001 and helped Cocoa Expo win the Southern conference championship 3 times and reach the National final eight in 2001 and 2004. Most recently he played for the Northern Virginia Royals also in the USL-PDL in 2008.

Playing Career: I have spent the majority of my playing career playing FIFA Soccer on the Play Station. That’s were I really learned a lot about the game. I went out to one practice in 2001 and the Gaffer really liked my style. I hacked down this forward and put him out for a month. The gaffer came up to me and said “You’re in my old son”. The rest is history.

He played for Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda, MD before being offered a scholarship at Longwood University a NCAA Division 1 College. Most recently max has played for both the Williamsburg Legacy and Northern Virginia Royals in the United Soccer Leagues (USL,) Premier Development League (PDL.)

Playing Career: I played for Gorbal’s boys club. Our home games were at Duke Street Prison because that’s where we all lived. We use to love home games. That’s when we could get all our cigs and stuff. We had one player, “Fingers” who would raid the opposition changing rooms while we were playing. I really liked the showers after the games.

Michael was a 4-year starter in high school, while in high school he competed against professional clubs such as Ajax Amsterdam, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt, Vitoria FC (Brazil), FC Twente (Holland), and De Graafschap (Holland). He was the manager/player of The George Washington University club soccer team and has experienced playing in multiple leagues around the Washington metro area such as the Washington Premier League, Washington Central American League, WISL and the Bolivian League.

After graduating he played in South Dakota for the Sioux Falls Spitfire in the United Soccer Leagues (USL) Premier Development League (PDL,) where he helped them reach the final four in 2002. Alun is now proud member of the British Tigers FC.

Played varsity for George Walton High School from 1998-2001 earning the Golden Boot and Chase Award for Best Striker in 2001, All-County Honors in 2000 and 2001, and All-Region and State Honors in 2001. He played for Rhodes College from 2001-2005 earning Conference Freshman of the Year in 2001, First Team All-Conference Honors in 2001, Second Team All-Conference Honors in 2002-2004, All-Region Honors in 2003, and two-time Conference Player of the Week. Most recently a force to be reckoned with in the Georgetown Law School indoor intramural league.

Won all kinds of awards, player of the year 9 times, leading goal scorer. Had try outs for Newcastle as a kid but I wasn’t keen on the jerseys. Also, their Nickname was ‘The Magpies”. I think this is very cruel. Being a member of Greenpeace, I just could not make the move to Newcastle Utd. Bristol City enquired, but they were known as “The Robins” so I didn’t even get on the train.

Bio: Born in Little Rock, AR on February 26, 1977, he made his Tigers debut in September, 2001. David began playing as a midfielder for the Miami, FL power house club West Kendall. At age 11 he transitioned to a Goal Keeper when the team lost their keeper, leading West Kendall to seven straight county titles and multiple tournament wins. He has been in goal ever since. His collegiate carrier was played at Lenoir-Rhyne college in Hickory, North Carolina. There he earned the starting job in goal as a freshman and kept it throughout his four year letterman career amassing impressive career stats including, NCAA II records: 5,558 minutes played, 398 total saves (173 coming in 1996), and 7.14 saves per game, 95-99. Thomas joined the British Tigers after a tryout with the club in the Autumn of 2001. His loyalty to the club has helped keep the Tigers at the top of the league standings on a consistent basis. Thomas has helped lead the Tigers to two WISL cup titles and an Arlington Premier League title. Thomas also manned the Tigers goal for their unprecedented 31 game unbeaten streak.

Bio: Born in Rochford, Essex, England on February 9, 1967, he made his Tigers debut in July, 1996. Peter captained his school and college teams before joining Bashley Football Club of the then Beazer Homes Premier League. After moving back to Essex, Peter joined Stambridge United Football Club of the Essex League where he played until moving to the United States. Since 1996 he has made over 250 appearances for the Tigers and is now their longest serving player.

Playing Career: Irad was recruited by George Mason University (1989 – 1993) after a successful high school campaign in New York where he earned=2 0First Team All-America honors. Irad broke the career assist record at George Mason and was the only player to record 20 goals and 20 assists. He began his professional career in the Israeli Premier Division for Hapoel Haifa (1993-1994) before returning to the

USA

to join the Washington Warthogs professional indoor soccer team. After 4 years of indoor soccer, Irad took a much needed break from competitive soccer until this past summer where he played for the Northern Virginia Royals of the USL-PDL (2008).

Played some great games of Hide & Seek when I was a kid. My favorite was called Hare & Hounds. I would go and sit in someone’s shed and stay there all night. My so-called friends would just leave me and all go home. I think that is when I contracted the Herpies. (Dirty Sheds)
